Alabama dentist jailed for rape, abuse of 8 staff members and patients

Joseph Clarence Cox is a VERY, VERY bad man.

As a result, he's going to jail for a VERY, VERY long time.

The dentist from Alabama was arrested in April 2021 on three counts of sexual abuse and one count of rape, charges that were supported by the testimony of eight former employees and three former patients.

The witnesses testified to "numerous incidents of sexual abuse within his dental office during normal business hours," including subjecting "patients to sexual contact during their dental procedures."

After a week-long trial, the jury found him guilty of "two counts of rape, two counts of sodomy, and eight counts of sexual abuse in January," according to ABC.

Dentists are supposed to be on the list of professions that include moral standards, but apparently Cox was able to slip through the system.
