The U.S. has sent a nuclear-powered submarine to the Middle East as a message against escalating the Hamas-Israel conflict currently taking place there.

U.S. Central Command posted an image of an Ohio class submarine in the Suez Canal in Egypt on Sunday, showing that it means business in keeping other countries from joining in the conflict against Israel.

Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7 with 1,000 fighters, who slaughtered 1,400 mostly civilian Israelis and a few dozen Americans who got caught in the crossfire.

Since then, Israel has bombed targets in Gaza, including some with civilians, although its military tries its best to warn civilians before dropping bombs in those areas.

Ohio class submarines are capable of carrying nuclear missiles and ballistic missiles. It was not clear what kind of missiles the Ohio class submarine in the Suez Canal is carrying.

Central Command also showed an image of a B-1 bomber capable of carrying nukes into the Mideast region in a separate post.
