Tucker Carlson's X interview with former President Donald Trump succeeded in eclipsing the Milwaukee Debate held at the same time as the interview's release, 9 p.m. on Wednesday, garnering more than 236 million views on the platform in less than 24 hours.

Trump said Fox News as a network wasn't very friendly to him, and he had to "fight them" for any positive coverage in the 2016 and 2020 elections.

“We’ll get better ratings using this crazy forum that you’re using than probably the debate—our competition," he said.

Trump attacked his election rivals during the interview and praised the crowd at the Jan. 6 rally he held before the Capitol was breached by one to two thousand who purported to support him.

He said that former Alabama Governor Asa Hutchinson and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie were "nasty" in attacking him and that a lot of the candidates shouldn't even have been running for president.

Even if most of the impressions on the X interview didn't watch the entire video, it seems like it got more attention than the debate's 12.8 million viewers, given that most of the candidates are only polling at 5% or less.
