House Speaker Mike Johnson Catching Heat From Republicans

Speaker Mike Johnson is catching some serious heat from Republicans over various issues lately.

Take Steve Bannon, for example.

Trump's former right-hand man recently laid into Johnson over his failure to EVICT illegal immigrants from this country a long time ago, a fact some say contributed to the death of nursing student Laken Riley.

Bannon said that Johnson's failure to insist on the deportation of people like the illegal immigrant who killed an innocent young woman should result in Johnson being removed from his position as Speaker of the House.

Perhaps Republicans are just kind of hard to please right now, as Kevin McCarthy's run as House speaker didn't go much better.

At least Johnson is still in his position, although if too many Republicans start to share the same sentiment as Bannon, that might not last for too long.
