Sen. Steve Daines calls on every Republican candidate to drop out and endorse Donald Trump

National Republican Senatorial Committee chairman Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) called on the Republican candidates running for President to drop out and unite behind former President Donald Trump.

Daines is the highest-profile Republican to come out and demand that Republicans end the primary early and unite behind Trump.

Multiple candidates have dropped out in the past few weeks, and the writing has been on the wall for months that 2024 is Trump's year.

No other candidate has been able to garner consistent and significant support outside of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis was once seen as a solid competitor for Trump, but as the campaign has stretched on, it has become clear that it isn't DeSantis' time yet and that he can't beat the man who arguably started his political career.

Daines believes that it is a done deal that Trump will be the nominee and that there is no point for Republicans to continue the primary.
