Obama still backing Biden as other Democrats sour

Former President Barack Obama sent a strong message on X last weekend that he is still backing President Joe Biden in 2024 even as other Democrats begin to suggest that he should back out of the race.

"For eight years, @POTUS and I worked to deliver change for the American people," he said. "I couldn’t have asked for a better Vice President and friend — and we’ll always be thankful to all the campaign staff and Administration alumni who helped bring that progress to folks across the country. Yes we can. Yes we did."

The statement was accompanied by a video of Biden talking about his time as VP under Obama.

Democrats like former Obama advisor David Axelrod and Never Trumper RINOs like Bill Kristol have said Biden needs to step aside after a poll showed him losing five of six swing states to Former President Donald Trump.

The race is far from over, with some speculating that retiring Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Mitt Romney (R-UT) will run on a No Labels ticket, which could siphon votes from either party's candidate--or both.

People are sick of the current alternatives and of the stranglehold Trump and Biden seem to have on American politics. There's no telling how much support a No Labels split ticket could get as a way to break the hold of the two-party system.
