New Mexico Police Officer Fatally Stabbed While Responding To Routine Call
It’s perhaps the saddest story that continues to happen in America.
It involves innocent people being killed.
There’s a mental health crisis going on in America right now, and what just happened to this officer in New Mexico is more proof of that.
A cop in New Mexico, Jonah Hernandez, recently responded to the last call he would ever receive.
Hernandez arrived on a trespassing call on Feb. 11 when a homeless man with a history of violence pounced on him.
For seemingly no reason, Armando Silva stabbed the officer to death in a furious rage.
“When he arrived, Armando Silva immediately attacked him with a large kitchen knife,” Police Chief Jeremy Story said in a press conference. “For no reason whatsoever, Silva killed Officer Hernandez.”
Silva then turned his knife on a passerby.
That passerby drew a weapon and put an end to the attacker's violence.
Permanently.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Officer Hernandez and his family.
Rest in peace.
