A new Monmouth University poll showed Former President Donald Trump 32 points ahead of his closest GOP rival, even as he faces more investigations and possible indictments.

Trump got 54% in the 14-candidate field, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had 22%. All the other candidates were in the single digits.

When only Trump and DeSantis were considered, Trump got 55% and DeSantis got 35%.

Breitbart News pointed out that the results were similar to the poll taken two months ago, when DeSantis entered the race.

DeSantis "has not made any headway," polling director Patrick Murray said, adding, “The arguments that he’d be a stronger candidate and a more effective president than Trump have both fallen flat."

Most polling had similar results, with DeSantis in the low 20s and Trump in the high 40s or 50s.
