Malia Obama, Barack Obama's eldest daughter, caught on camera smoking

Former President Barack Obama's eldest daughter, Malia Obama, was caught smoking cigarettes in pictures taken by paparazzi.

The Obama daughters tend to go to great lengths to preserve their public image, so these shots of Malia smoking came as quite a shock.

Of course, this isn't the first time the former president's eldest has caused a stir in the press.

When Malia was 18 years old, she was caught on video smoking what appeared to be a joint at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago that year. An eyewitness further claimed that Malia had indeed been smoking pot.

One Twitter commenter attacked Malia saying, "IRONY: After sporting ‘Smoking Kills’ T-shirt, Malia Obama puffs cig outside LA store."

Other social media users quickly jumped to Malia's defense arguing that she should be left alone to live her life. While that sentiment has value, Malia Obama shouldn't be put forth as a role model if she is regularly smoking cigarettes.
