GOP Candidate JR Majewski Mulls Withdrawal From Ohio House Race

 February 28, 2024

JR Majewski, a controversial candidate for a House seat in Ohio, is considering dropping out of the race just days after early voting began in the state.

This was Majewski's second attempt to oust Rep. Marcy Kaptur, a Democrat.

Majewski has been campaigning since April 2022 when he first announced his intentions, but he now appears to be having second thoughts.

The Republican hopeful said that he hasn't officially withdrawn from the running yet but is giving the move serious consideration.

Apparently, multiple people have been asking Majewski to exit the contest. He has yet to respond to those requests and is trying to keep the naysayers at bay" while he makes a decision.

"I’m being asked by some people to drop out," he said. "I don’t know what I’m gonna do yet."

In case you've never heard of Majewski before, he's most famous for his presence at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Despite being in the general area on that fateful day, he's never been accused of any wrongdoing.

Of course, that hasn't stopped his opponents from saying that his mere presence near the infamous unrest proves he's "affiliated with an alt-right conspiracy group."

What decision will Majewski make?

Only time will tell.
