Fox News Tells Ron DeSantis To 'Face It'

 October 3, 2023

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis probably isn't going to be the Republican nominee in 2024.

But don't tell him that.

Despite being over 40 points behind Donald Trump in national polls, DeSantis has frequently indicated that he has zero intention of dropping out soon.

He has also said that he has no intention of being America's vice president -- especially in a putative Trump administration -- as he is frequently reminding people that he's running for the presidency, not to be the second-place Republican.

Fox News host Maria Bartiromo doesn't think that this is a smart approach for the governor.

"Let’s face it, governor, Donald Trump is ahead of you by a significant margin," she said to the GOP hopeful's face. "I think the last poll was 52%, above, right now, for Trump. How are you going to cut into Trump’s lead? What truly is your path to victory?"

DeSantis maintained that he still has a chance:

You show up, you make the case, you don’t mail it in, you don’t go missing in action, you meet voters on the ground in the early states, Iowa, New Hampshire, in particular, and tell them about the future of the country and why you’re the best candidate.

Do you agree with Ron DeSantis?
