Donald Trump leading Joe Biden in Georgia, voters to the right after 2020

 November 5, 2023

Former President Donald Trump is back in the good graces of Georgia voters, as a new Zogby Analytics survey found that he is leading President Joe Biden in Georgia, marking a rightward shift for the state that voted for the latter in 2020.

The race is close, with Trump holding a lead with 51% support to Biden's 49% support, making it a two-point race with the election exactly a year away.

This survey also analyzed the race with the addition of third-party candidates including Independents Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West.

With the addition of those candidates, Trump takes a massive 9-point lead over Biden, with 45% support to Biden’s 36% support.

Both West and Kennedy are stealing left-leaning voters from President Biden, while Trump remains largely unaffected. While Kennedy might be popular with some conservatives, his platform is still largely liberal in nature.

Democrats should be deeply afraid of Trump at this point. He is beating Biden in crucial swing states, and that is true even with everything that Democrats have thrown at the former president over the past year.
