Biden allies tell Dem naysayers to back down from saying he should pull out of 2024 race

After former Barack Obama advisor David Axelrod suggested in a number of social media posts and appearances that President Joe Biden should consider getting out of the 2024 presidential race, a number of the president's allies have circled the wagons and, in essence, told Democrat naysayers to "pipe down" about replacing Biden.

Axelrod initially said Biden needed to think seriously about whether to stay in the race. After Biden reportedly called him a "p****," Axelrod said he needs to "either get out or get going" in his efforts for a second term.

Some Democrats are understandably concerned after numerous polls showed Biden trailing former President Donald Trump in key battleground states, which could give Trump enough electoral votes to win.

Axelrod put Biden's chances at 50-50 to take race at this point.

Voters are concerned about his age -- at 81, Biden is the oldest serving president in history -- and about economic woes like inflation continuing to plague the country.

The border is another increasingly serious problem for voters as record numbers of people (and possibly terrorists) flood across with Biden barely lifting a finger.
