Comedian and actress Amy Schumer explained on Instagram that her puffier than usual appearance is due to an autoimmune condition coupled with endometriosis in a slightly snarky post after an appearance on Jimmy Fallon's show.

"Thank you so much for everyone's input on my face!" she began.

"I've enjoyed feedback and deliberation about my appearance as all women do for almost 20 years," she added.

She said she doesn't think women need to explain any differences or oddities about their appearance and encouraged "self-love and acceptance of the skin you're in."

"Some days I feel confident and good as hell and others I want to put a bag over my head," she shared honestly.

Schumer went on to say that she feels "strong and beautiful" as she plugged her TV show, Life and Beth, which she wrote, starred in and directed, and which now streams on Hulu.
