Young TikTok star Taylor Rousseau Grigg dies suddenly after mystery illness: Report

 October 9, 2024

Fans of a young, famous lifestyle content producer on TikTok were shocked and saddened to learn of her sudden death.

According to NBC News, Taylor Rousseau Grigg, 25, passed away after battling an unknown illness, according to her husband, Cameron Grigg.

The young TikTok star had nearly 1.5 million followers who watched her daily talk about her faith, her country lifestyle and her marriage. She was wildly popular on social media.

Reports indicated that while Grigg opened up about her illness to fans, she never provided specifics as to what illness doctors diagnosed her with. Her husband, in a touching tribute to his late wife on Instagram, also did not provide details.

"I was diagnosed by a doctor after a while of not knowing what was wrong with me. I haven’t been diagnosed for very long so I’ve still been struggling with the fact that it’s a ‘forever thing,’" she said in one of her videos.

It was obviously a serious medical situation, as her husband described the amount of pain she had been in over the past year, which he says was more than most people experience in a lifetime.

"No one ever expects to have to deal with this kind of pain and heartache, especially at our age. This past year Taylor has dealt with more pain and suffering than most people do in a lifetime. And in spite of that she still has been such a light and always brought joy to everyone around her. She is the most brave and strong woman I know, and her confidence in the Lord outweighed every other circumstance she’s faced, even in her darkest hours. I know she’s saved my life and so many others out there," Cameron Grigg wrote.

He added, "Her earthly body is still here with us being ran by machines to keep her organs viable for donation. More than anything Taylor would want to know that she’s continuing to save people’s lives even after she’s gone from this world. And even though her earthly body may have failed her, her memory and life will be carried on forever."

"She doesn’t owe anyone, anything. But she would want everyone to know that shes more than ok. While her earthly body is still here waiting to give the gift of life, we know her spirit is in heaven dancing in the streets made of gold with all her beauty and grace. Her endless shoe/boot collection. And her rhinestones and turquoise jewelry," he wrote.

In one of her final posts in which she spoke briefly about her health condition, she expressed frustration at what she wasn't able to do at her age.

"It just sucks because I’m 24 years old, I should be in my prime, I should be able to carry my suitcase up the stairs, I should be able to walk to the mailbox, or run, and those are just things that I can’t really do right now," she said.

Clearly, she left a major impact on her family and friends.
