Worker dies after accident at Georgia golf cart plant

 March 14, 2024

A shocking death that has made national news will leave your jaw on the floor.

It started out as any other day.

No one could have predicted what would happen.

Alyssa Drinkard was a contract worker employed at a golf cart production plant.

After dropping a wireless headphone, Drinkard bent down to retrieve it.

That’s when the 21-year-old became trapped underneath a conveyor belt chain.

By the time the machine was turned off and Drinkard was cut out of the machine, she was not breathing.

She later died at a nearby hospital.

The company at which she worked, Club Cart, has responded to her horrific death.

“On Friday evening, a contract labor worker experienced a critical injury while working at our main manufacturing facility in Evans. First responders were immediately notified, and we thank them for their quick response to provide medical care and transportation to the hospital where the worker unfortunately later passed away. Our sincere condolences and thoughts are with the family, friends and all impacted by this loss. We are working with authorities and the contractor in an investigation to determine the facts about what led to the incident,” Club Cart wrote.

We pray for the family and loved ones of Drinkard who are now grieving her death.
