To Whom Will Tim Scott's Supporters Turn?

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) suspended his 2024 presidential campaign several weeks ago, and the folks remaining in the GOP primary battle are all wondering if they can get a slice of the supporter pie.

We are, of course, talking about the question of who is going to be best able to woo Scott's support base, whether Ron DeSantis, Donald Trump, or Nikki Haley.

If you're from South Carolina and just want to support your hometown person, then Nikki Haley might be the play.

Maybe you want to hop on the bandwagon of a sure winner. In that case, Trump is probably your man. He's already won the presidential election twice, and Trump has collected more votes for president of the United States than anyone else in the history of the universe.

Or maybe you fancy Ron DeSantis, especially after he dismantled California Gov. Gavin Newsom so badly during a debate that the liberal's own wife had to rush on stage to call off the show.

Only time will tell precisely to whom Scott's supporters ultimately flock.

One thing is clear, Scott is not rushing them into making a decision.

"The best way for me to be helpful is to not weigh in," he has said recently when he's been asked whom he plans to endorse.
