White House feared altering Biden transcript was 'breach of protocol,' did it anyway
Liberals will defend Joe Biden's recently inflammatory comments about Trump supporters by pointing out that comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, at a rally for the former president, called the entire island of Puerto Rico "garbage," but the fact of the matter is that Biden still delivered the controversial remarks.
Biden responded to the Puerto Rico jab by calling Trump voters "garbage."
"The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters," Biden said.
It was clear to most everyone he was referring to Trump voters as trash, but those in the White House didn't want that hanging over their head, so they simply tried to change the record of what he said by editing the official transcript.
Despite knowing that doing so was a breach of protocol, White House staffers still altered Joe Biden's statements by adding an apostrophe to the word "supporters."
They tried to make it seem as though Biden was only referring to incendiary rhetoric as "garbage."
Nothing could have been further from the truth.
America knew what Joe Biden was trying to say, and no amount of deception from the White House will change that fact.
