Whistleblower warns not to trust FBI with vetting of Donald Trump's nominees
An official at FBI headquarters has seen enough corruption and thinks it's time to go public.
America's FBI is biased, and it does NOT favor conservatives, according to this individual. The whistleblower is particularly worried that the FBI will play politics with Donald Trump's Cabinet nominees instead of treating them fairly.
According to the whistleblower, the background check process has been "contaminated by the political agendas of [Security Division] officials and other executives in the FBI."
The allegations in the whistleblower's disclosure seem to validate Trump's claims that he needs to sweep out corruption in the FBI.
"FBI SecD has been politicized, and both Director [Christopher] Wray and Deputy Director [Paul] Abbate have the ability to examine the background investigations of anyone who is having a security clearance done," the whistleblower's disclosure read.
Agency officials immediately pushed back on the idea that they might have a political agenda:
"Being completed as expeditiously as possible, the background investigation focuses on character and conduct. The FBI serves as an investigative service provider and does not adjudicate or render an opinion on the results of the background investigation. The FBI’s role is purely fact-finding. Once the investigation is complete, the report is sent to the Office of White House Counsel or the Office of the President-Elect for their use as deemed appropriate," the FBI said in response to the allegations.
Do you think Trump and his team will be treated fairly? It's something that hasn't seemed to happen yet.
