The second banana in the 2024 GOP presidential race is no longer Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
It's Vivek Ramaswamy.
Ever since Vivek announced that he would pardon Donald Trump on day one in office and challenged other Republicans to do the same, he's been getting more and more popular.
That popularity, combined with DeSantis' rapid descent, means that there's a new number two man in town in the Republican Primary.
Donald Trump is at 48%, Vivek Ramaswamy is at 11%, and Ron DeSantis is at 10%.
The data comes from a recent Kaplan Strategies poll.
2024 National Republican Primary:
Trump 48% (+37)
Ramaswamy 11%
DeSantis 10%
Pence 8%
Christie 4%
Haley 4%
Scott 2%

It remains to be seen whether or not riding on Donald Trump's coattails will benefit Ramaswamy.
If people only like him because he stands up for Trump, doesn't that mean these people are going to vote for the former president when it's time to make a decision?
