Video shows Trump handing over unidentified object after exiting Marine One

The internet went into a flurry of speculation after President Donald Trump was shown on video handing an unidentified object to a military service member after exiting Marine One.

The video shows Trump addressing the Marine standing to his right before handing him something after which he then acknowledged another service member to his left.

Online commentators immediately began asking questions about what Trump gave the Marine with many asking if the president was tipping his military escorts. However, it appears that the exchange likely involved a challenge coin.

Many users also pointed out that Trump's interaction with the Marines stands in stark contrast to the interactions that his predecessors had with their escorts.

Users posted videos of Trump's interaction side-by-side with those of former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden and pointed out the way in which the current president makes a real effort to address his escorts and interact with them in a meaningful manner.

Trump demonstrates genuine interest in all of the people with whom he interacts, whereas his predecessors had an elite aloofness to their demeanors. While this video isn't particularly important, for some it demonstrates what makes Trump such a force with the American people.
