British PM says Netanyahu could be arrested if he enters UK in light of ICC warrant

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is no longer welcome in the United Kingdom after an international arrest warrant for his arrest was issued by the International Criminal Court over alleged war crimes.

Countries that are members of the ICC have signed a treaty that obliges them to act on arrest warrants issued by the court, which the U.K. has.

An official spokesman for Prime Minister Keir Starmer responded to a question on Netanyahu stating, "The government would fulfill its obligations under the act and indeed its legal obligations."

It was highly unlikely that Netanyahu would have traveled to the United Kingdom at this time but now he faces arrest in the case that he did. Many other member countries of the ICC have confirmed that they will also arrest Netanyahu.

The ICC also issued an arrest warrant for Hamas military commander Mohammed Deif, for his role in planning the atrocities committed against Israel by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023.

However, Deif was killed by Israel in July as the IDF has been butchering every terrorist they can find in retribution for the horrific Oct. 7 attacks. As for Netanyahu, the warrant for his arrest essentially bars him from entering certain countries, but the ICC has no jurisdiction in Israel.
