House Panel Approves Bill Banning TikTok Nationwide

The U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee approved legislation on Wednesday that would give President Joe Biden the power to ban certain apps if he so chooses.

The vote was 24 to 16 along party lines.

According to Breitbart, the legislation was introduced on Feb. 24 and fast-tracked by the House Foreign Affairs Committee. If passed, Joe Biden would be allowed to implement a nationwide TikTok ban under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.

While the bill isn't specific to TikTok, the app is mentioned by name in the bill and appears to be the primary reason for getting things moving so quickly.

TikTok is owned by ByteDance, a Chinese company with seriously scary ties to the Chinese government. In addition to that, TikTok is under scrutiny for misusing users' data on at least two occasions.

As if that wasn't bad enough, ByteDance has been putting out two versions of the app. One is given to young people in China where things like learning are promoted on the app. America's version results in pornography, hatred, and society-degrading content being fed to our youth in an attempt to corrupt the country's future.

China truly is the enemy.
