Former President Donald Trump was slated to attend a wake on Thursday for an NYPD officer killed in the line of duty during a traffic stop on Monday after he was invited to do so.

Johnathan Diller, 31, was shot below his bulletproof vest while approaching an illegally parked car in Queens.

Diller was married and had a one-year-old child.

President Joe Biden was also in New York on Thursday, attending a fundraiser with Democratic ex-presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama that was expected to raise millions of dollars for his campaign.

It was not known whether Trump planned to speak at the wake, which a Republican party social media site compared positively to Biden's plans in the city.

Trump has campaigned on rising crime in major cities, using it as evidence that Democrats' soft on crime policies aren't good for America.
