Poll: Trump Indictment Will Not Harm 2024 Campaign

 April 8, 2023

According to a recent YouGov survey, most Americans believe former President Donald Trump's indictment will only be good for his upcoming presidential campaign.

The survey found that voters think the indictment will either make him stronger or have no effect at all.

Respondents were asked if the 34 charges against Trump will make him a stronger or weaker candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

Fully 53% of participants believe the charges will either make Trump a stronger candidate or make no difference at all.

Notably, 32% said the charges will make Trump a stronger candidate.

Another 21% said the indictment will make no difference.

Only 29% stated that it will make Trump a weaker candidate.

The former president pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said he believes Trump falsified business records to "cover up crimes relating to the 2016 election."

Bragg won his 2021 Democrat primary race after boasting about pursuing lawsuits against the Trump administration — an action he claims he has taken over 100 times.
