Trump threatens consequences for those who interfere in election if he wins WH
Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to threaten strong legal consequences for anyone caught interfering or otherwise attempting to commit voter fraud should he win a second term in the White House.
Trump used the term "unscrupulous behavior," which is a vague term that would potentially cover a range of actions Democrats might take to question the election.
The former president has spent the past few years facing multiple indictments and accusations over his misgivings about the 2020 election. Now if he wins this time, he may give Democrats a taste of their own medicine.
Trump stated on Truth Social, "The 2024 Election, where Votes have just started being cast, will be under the closest professional scrutiny and, WHEN I WIN, those people that CHEATED will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law, which will include long term prison sentences so that this Depravity of Justice does not happen again."
He still believes there was widespread voter fraud, and his claims have seemingly been bolstered by Democrats' continued refusal to pass election integrity measures.
Democrats are fighting basic protections such as requiring voter ID to cast a vote and by refusing to purge voter rolls of non-citizens. Democrats are doing everything to stop election integrity measures, and Trump has hinted that he will drop the hammer on them for it.
