Trump Takes 26-Point Lead In Republican Primary: Poll

March 25, 2023

March's Harvard-Harris poll has just reached a conclusion about which Donald Trump will be thrilled.

The 45th President of the United States of America is in firm control of the 2024 National Republican Primary at this point. In fact, the poll shows him collecting more than twice as much support as the second-place candidate Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis, the current governor of Florida, collected 24% support. Donald Trump came in at a whopping 50%. Even given all of the other choices in the Republican field, 50% of people surveyed want the former president installed back into the White House.

Also collecting support in the survey was Mike Pence at 7% and Nikki Haley at 5%. No other candidate garner over 2% support.

Trump also won a head-to-head matchup in the same poll against the man in second-place, DeSantis.

In a one-versus-one matchup, Trump gathered 56% support compared to Ron DeSantis at 44%.

No matter which way you slice it, the general sentiment is clear:

Many red voters want four more years of Trump.
