Trump signs executive order cutting federal funding to programs for illegal immigrants

President Donald Trump's stance toward illegal immigration has been well-received by millions of Americans who are sick and tired of the U.S. government prioritizing illegals over its own citizens.

According to Fox News, the president's latest actions, which include signing an executive order terminating all federal benefits to illegal immigrants, could be a total game-changer and save American taxpayers mountains of money. 

The EO is strong, as it directs all federal agencies to identify "all federally funded programs currently providing any financial benefits" to illegals and "take corrective action."

It read that Trump is "committed to safeguarding federal public health benefits for American citizens who are truly in need, including individuals with disabilities and veterans."

The order is the latest in the Trump administration's efforts to stamp out the negative impact of the influx of illegal aliens in America that happened mostly under President Joe Biden.

"The surge in illegal immigration, enabled by the previous Administration, is siphoning dollars and essential services from American citizens while state and local budgets grow increasingly strained," the White House wrote in a fact sheet.

The fact sheet also pointed to how much U.S. taxpayers shell out for the influx in illegal aliens across the nation.

Fox News noted:

The House Homeland Security Committee estimated that taxpayers could pay as much as $451 billion to care for illegal immigrants and gotaways that have entered the U.S. unlawfully since January 2021, the sheet said.

The outlet added:

The White House noted that the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) estimated that American taxpayers spend at least $182 billion annually to cover the costs incurred by the presence of 20 million illegal immigrants and their children.

Clearly, something needed to be done, and the EO is aimed at mitigating the cost burden on U.S. taxpayers -- something that Biden and Kamala Harris had no intention of doing.

Social media users reacted to the news of the executive order.

"Thank you for serving the people. You know it’s our country and don’t serve yourself. I truly grateful you just simply get it. Your fellow citizens in your district did great job voting for you," one X user wrote.

This is one more step in the right direction to correcting the absolute disaster that Biden and Harris created on their watch.
