Trump says rally in Madison Square Garden sold out in hours

Republican presidential nominee former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively on Saturday that his rally in New York City's Madison Square Garden on October 27 sold out in only a few hours, a testament to his growing popularity even in strongly Democrat areas. 

“We sold it out in less than three hours. But people are going to come anyway." he told Washington Bureau Chief Matthew Boyle in a 25-minute interview.

He continued to describe the plans for the rally, saying, "We have big screens outside. It’s going to be unbelievable. So come anyway. I mean, come, maybe you get in, I don’t know, but it sold out very quickly.”

“It’s fantastic. It’s going to be fantastic.,” he went on, full of enthusiasm for the 5 p.m. rally.

The venue was home to the Republican National Convention in 2004, several Democrat National Conventions, and countless music artists and sporting events.

Billed as the largest event venue in the world, Madison Square Garden holds 19,500 people. The largest rally Trump has had during this election season was approximately 100,000 outdoors in Wildwood, New Jersey in May.
