Former President Donald Trump said at CPAC on Saturday that he would stay in the 2024 presidential race even if he is indicted and joked that it would probably boost his numbers.

“Oh, absolutely, I won’t even think about leaving,” Trump told reporters before his address. “Probably, it’ll enhance my numbers, but it’s a very bad thing for America. It’s very bad for the country.”

Trump is currently being investigated federally for his involvement in the January 6 Capitol breach, having classified documents at Mar-A-Lago, and at the state level for tax fraud and other business irregularities.

"They’ve weaponized justice in our country," Trump told an enthusiastic crowd during his address.

Trump won the CPAC straw poll by a landslide.

“In 2016, I declared: I am your voice," Trump proclaimed in a fiery speech. "Today, I add: I am your warrior. I am your justice. And for those who have been wronged and betrayed: I am your retribution.”
