Trump says Biden should take drug test before first presidential debate

 June 10, 2024

Politics aside, any honest person who has viewed President Joe Biden on television for even a few minutes knows that age -- as it eventually does with all of us -- has caught up with him in a dramatic way.

Due to his consistent gaffes and seemingly perpetual states of confusion at nearly any event he attends, many wonder how he'll stand even a few minutes in a debate against former President Donald Trump.

Many of those same people have suggested that the only way Biden could make it through an entire debate would be him being pumped with some type of cognitive enhancement drugs. That sparked calls for Biden to be drug tested before the debate.

During a recent rally in Las Vegas, Trump doubled down on the idea, challenging Biden to taking both a cognitive test and a drug test prior to the first debate, which is rapidly approaching.

Newsmax noted:

Trump noted a "cognitively" challenged Biden, 81 — the oldest president ever elected and to hold office — needs help to sit across from the table from him at the debate, suggesting he might be pumped with performance-enhancing drugs.

"Remember when Joe said, 'it's great to be in Idaho,' and he was in Iowa?" Trump joked. "He always does that. If I ever did that, it would be over.

Trump took several shots at Biden during the rally and noted that he "aced" a cognitive test during his presidency when the media suggested that he was unfit for office.

"You know, I had a second test, I aced it," Trump said. "I aced both of them. Not easy to ace."

The former president also took a shot at special counsel Robert Hur for not pursing charges against Biden in his classified documents probe, noting that Hur suggested Biden was too "incompetent" to stand trial for the charges.

"He was the dumbest person in the Senate, and he has been from day one," Trump said. "How about this on the documents, they go after me for documents, and then they find out that Joe has 10 times the number of documents than me."

Trump continued, "I said, 'you have to be kidding.' And they released him. I said, 'I don't want to be released like that.' They release him on the basis that he's incompetent and he can't stand trial."

"I said, 'Oh, I see, so he can't stand trial, so they're not going to charge him on 50-years' worth of classified documents.' He's incompetent and he won't have to stand trial, but he's allowed to run for president."

"He was never smart, but he wasn't incompetent," the former president said.

It's difficult to imagine Biden standing up to Trump in a debate in 2024, as it's likely that Trump will get under Biden's skin very quickly and cause him to spiral out of control.

Regardless, it'll be one heck of a fun debate to watch.
