Trump Says Again That He Supports McCarthy

January 5, 2023

Back in December, when asked who he supported for speaker of the House, Donald Trump gave a strong endorsement to Kevin McCarthy, a Republican from California.

However, after McCarthy initially failed to win the vote, Trump seemed to rescind his support by telling a journalist from NBC he wanted to "see what happens" before announcing he was still backing McCarthy.

When the reporter publicly quoted Trump, it forced Donald to take a stand.

McCarthy should be happy, as Trump said:

Some really good conversations took place last night, and it’s now time for all of our GREAT Republican House Members to VOTE FOR KEVIN, CLOSE THE DEAL, TAKE THE VICTORY, & WATCH CRAZY NANCY PELOSI FLY BACK HOME TO A VERY BROKEN CALIFORNIA, THE ONLY SPEAKER IN U.S. HISTORY TO HAVE LOST THE “HOUSE” TWICE!
