Trump: One-On-One With Tucker Carlson An 'Interesting' Idea

 July 25, 2023

Former President Donald Trump has stated in the past that his lead over the rest of the Republican primary field is so huge that he honestly believes he can simply skip the debates and still outpoll any of them.

So, what might Trump be considering in place of the debates if he does decide he doesn't need to jump through the same hoops that other Republicans do?

How about a private forum?

Maybe one hosted by Tucker Carlson?

Trump is on the record as calling the idea "interesting."

The first Republican Party primary debate is scheduled to take place on August 23 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Fox News anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum are scheduled to host the affair.

Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida, Trump's biggest contender right now, has already confirmed that he would attend the debate.

Vivek Ramaswamy also recently announced that he has met the RNC's qualifications to be able to participate in the event.

What do you think? Would Trump skipping the debate and holding his own private powwow with Tucker Carlson help or hurt his chances?
