Trump Links sign removed as offloaded Bronx golf course looks to rebrand

A Bronx golf course sold by the Trump Organization months ago removed his name from its sign this week as it prepares to rebrand.

A prominent "Trump Links" sign visible from the Whitestone Bridge was removed as a grand opening of the new Bally Links name is about to be launched at the Ferry Point course.

Mayor Eric Adams spoke at the unveiling, saying, “This day is about so much more than the changing of a sign."

Ostensibly, he meant that the Bally's takeover signaled a major upgrade for the borough, but he could also have been addressing an attempt by state Attorney General Letitia James to strip former President Donald Trump of the right to do business in the city.

A civil case seeking to do just that has wrapped up arguments in Manhattan, and parties are awaiting Judge Arthur Engoron's decision.

It certainly seems like Engoron is ready to hit Trump with major fines in the hundreds of millions of dollars and potentially stop him from running his own company or buying further real estate in the state for an undetermined period of time.
