Trump Leads GOP In Iowa, DeSantis Fades Further

 July 27, 2023

Former President Donald Trump might not just be our FORMER president for very long if this keeps up.

Not only is Trump as hot as ever with Republican voters despite his multiple indictments across the country, but he also just had something of a double victory.

Trump's numbers went up, and rival Ron DeSantis' went down.

It's of special interest to Trump how Florida's governor is polling, because many people anticipate that DeSantis will be the toughest Republican for the former president to beat out during the primaries.

If the numbers keep continuing in their current direction though, DeSantis might not be around for long.

A new poll in Iowa indicates that 42% of likely Republican voters support Trump over any other candidate.

That's nearly a 30-point lead over DeSantis, who fell 7 points down to 15% support.

DeSantis appears to know that his campaign is headed in the wrong direction. On July 26 it was announced that many of his campaign staffers were being laid off in what's being called a "reset" of his campaign.
