Former President Donald Trump's lawyers reported in a court filing Wednesday that they served porn actor Stormy Daniels with a subpoena outside a Brooklyn bar last month as she was arriving for an event, but she refused to take it and walked away.

The process server said he was forced to leave the papers at Daniels' feet after telling her she was served. She refused to acknowledge him and walked away into the venue.

Trump's legal team is asking Judge Juan Merchan to enforce the subpoena. Daniels is expected to testify at Trump's trial in which he is charged with falsifying business records to pay his lawyer Michael Cohen back for a $130,000 payment he made to Daniels for her silence ahead of the 2016 election.

Daniels had claimed that she and Trump had sex years earlier. Trump denies the affair.

She has cooperated in a documentary called "Stormy" about her life, including the alleged Trump affair and the publicity surrounding it.

The trial is still in the jury selection phase after three days.
