Former President Donald Trump received endorsements this week from most of the Pennsylvania GOP House delegation, further shoring up his power as the frontrunner for the GOP presidential nomination.

Five of the eight GOP House members are now backing Trump, reportedly led by Reps. Mike Kelly, Dan Meuser, Scott Perry, Guy Reschenthaler and John Joyce.

In total, 56 of the 63 House Republicans who have endorsed a candidate for the nomination are now backing Trump.

Five of the remaining 63 support Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Trump's closest rival.

Even though Trump has been indicted twice and may face even more legal challenges, he continues to win support and endorsements as the best person to represent the GOP as its nominee.

And it's true that the indictments are political hit jobs and he will probably not get convicted, but that doesn't necessarily mean Trump is the best candidate or that he can win the general election.
