Former President Donald Trump has been racking up endorsements for his 2024 presidential bid for the past few weeks, and on Friday he gained another, that of Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles (R).

Ogle said that Biden's first two years have been a "downward spiral" in strong contrast to Trump's time in office.

"We need to restore strong leadership in the White House," Ogle continued, adding, "Our country is at a breaking point and I am confident that President Trump is the leader we need to get America back on track. That is why I’m proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for President."

Ogles may be returning the favor to Trump, who endorsed him in the midterms, but then again, Ogles easily won his race and began a second term in January 2023.

Trump now has dozens of endorsements from state and federal lawmakers, including many in Florida, where both he and closest rival Florida Governor Ron DeSantis both live.

If DeSantis doesn't get in the race soon, it may be too late for him to build the momentum he will need to defeat Trump and gain the nomination, if it's not already too late.
