Trump floats prospect of military strikes against Mexican drug cartels
President Donald Trump vowed to clean up America's disastrous border situation that was created by the horrible policies of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, and he's not waiting long to get started.
Trump is bringing out the big guns, literally.
On the campaign trail, Trump vowed "to wage war on the cartels," and it appears as though he's going to do just that.
Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth are reportedly ready to use military force such as airstrikes and special forces missions against the drug cartels from Mexico.
In addition to bringing tons of dangerous drugs like fentanyl over the border, these cartels are also in charge of multiple smuggling operations bringing illegal immigrants into the United States.
Less than one week ago, some suspected cartel members opened fire on Border Patrol personnel who were monitoring a drug and human smuggling hot zone in Texas.
Biden may have been okay with letting the cartel get away with that type of behavior, but Donald Trump isn't.
Hegseth recently spoke about just how far he and the president are willing to go to slow down the travel of drugs and illegal immigrants over our southern border.
"Let me be clear," Hegseth said. "All options will be on the table if we’re dealing with what are designated to be foreign terrorist organizations who are specifically targeting Americans on our border."
