Trump carries HUGE lead in California polling

California Republicans are making it clear that they love former President Donald Trump.

Trump leads the California Republicans primary race by double-digits, according to a new Public Policy Institute of California survey.

Republican voters were asked, "If the 2024 Republican primary for president were being held today, and these were the candidates, who would you vote for?"

The list included former Vice President Mike Pence, who recently declared his candidacy. The survey also listed former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who joined the race this week.

Not one candidate or potential candidate came anywhere close to competing with Trump.

A whopping 50% chose Trump as their candidate. Only 21% said they'd vote for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Pence came in third place, but it was distant at best with only 10% of the vote. Every other candidate listed received single digit support in California.

"Seven percent chose former Rep. Liz Cheney, followed by former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (three percent), South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (two percent), Sen. Tim Scott (two percent), former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (one percent), anti-woke businessman Vivek Ramaswamy (one percent), and New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (one percent). Notably, Sununu announced on Monday that he will not jump into the presidential race," Breitbart reported on the poll.

Polling continues to point to Trump being the winner of the Republican presidential primaries.
