Trump campaign taking heat over former president's association with Laura Loomer

I'm sure there are some people who support Laura Loomer and the way she goes about her business, but those people are likely already voting for Trump.

Right now, the people that Trump needs to be reaching are actually becoming more and more turned off by his association with Loomer, described by many as an alt-right freelance journalist and a woman some have gone so far as to suggest is engaged in an affair with the married former president.

Even the staunchest Republicans would be forced to admit that Loomer regularly says and does some pretty outrageous things, and it's those actions that are turning off middle-of-the-road voters.

Now, Trump is doing damage control.

Despite presumably liking her because she's as MAGA as the day is long, Trump has been trying to distance himself from Loomer over the past few days.

According to the Daily Mail, "Donald Trump claimed to be completely unaware of the growing controversy around conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer as he faced questions about why he had allowed a woman who said 9/11 was an inside job to travel with him for commemoration events this week."
