Trump campaign goes full steam ahead despite indictment

 June 18, 2023

Former President Donald Trump's campaign has gone full steam ahead despite his federal indictment and arraignment in the classified documents case.

Ironically, Trump turned his court hearing into a campaign stop as he waved and gave a thumbs up to a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters before stopping at a popular Cuban restaurant in Little Havana.

In fact, it seems that the indictment has given Trump's campaign a boost, which is the opposite effect Democrats were hoping it would have.

Republicans have doubled down, and the number of Republican voters who want Trump to drop out of the race has decreased dramatically.

Worse, no other candidate has been able to take advantage of the former president's indictment. Trump's nearest competitor, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, is still a longshot to beat Trump to the GOP's nomination.

It seems that Trump vs. Biden round 2 is inevitable which is terrible news for Democrats. Very few believe Biden can beat Trump, and the indictment was their last hope of averting disaster.
