Trump Campaign Accuses DeSantis Of Plagiarism

Well, there were months of speculation before Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis actually declared for 2024, and then once he did, there certainly was a snafu or two.

His Twitter campaign launch didn't go as smoothly as planned because the site crashed, and now he might be facing an even bigger problem:

It would appear as though one of the early slogans of DeSantis' campaign is "our Great American Comeback." The issue is that Trump's campaign is claiming that Donald came up with the slogan first.

They might be right:

Trump did use the catchphrase during his first State of the Union address:

Three years ago, we launched the great American comeback. Tonight, I stand before you to share the incredible results. Jobs are booming, incomes are soaring, poverty is plummeting, crime is falling, confidence is surging, and our country is thriving and highly respected again… America’s enemies are on the run, America’s fortunes are on the rise, and America’s future is blazing bright.

He also named a commercial exactly that:
