Trump deems Harris an illegitimate candidate due to party coup against Biden
Former President Donald Trump reminded Americans during a rally at Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, that Kamala Harris is an illegitimate nominee and is only in her position because Democrats strongarmed Biden out of the White House.
Trump claimed that this week's Democratic National Convention in Chicago is “rigged” because Biden isn’t on the ticket, and Harris didn't get a single primary vote.
Earlier this year, the Democrat Party refused to open the primary process, and Biden was effectively the unanimous winner when votes were tallied. This was in spite of many Democrats questioning his age and ability to win the election.
After Biden's first debate with Trump, Democratic Party leadership essentially forced him out, and after Biden endorsed Harris, she was selected as the de facto nominee.
Democrats refused to entertain the idea of an open convention, and now Harris will be crowned without receiving a single primary vote.
Trump has been adamant in highlighting Harris's illegitimacy as a reflection of the greater corruption on the left, which claims to care about democracy while running a candidate who received no primary votes.
