Trump Blasts Omar and Tlaib After State of the Union Outbursts, Says They Should Be Sent 'Back from Where They Came'

President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Wednesday to unload on Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) after their behavior at Tuesday night's State of the Union, writing that "we should send them back from where they came — as fast as possible."

The post followed what Trump described as uncontrollable screaming by both congresswomen during what he called "the very elegant State of the Union." Trump did not mince words:

"When you watch Low IQ Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, as they screamed uncontrollably last night at the very elegant State of the Union, such an important and beautiful event, they had the bulging, bloodshot eyes of crazy people, LUNATICS, mentally deranged and sick who, frankly, look like they should be institutionalized."

Tlaib responded by posting on X that Trump is "crashing out." Omar reposted it. That was the extent of their rebuttal.

What Happened Tuesday Night

The State of the Union became a spectacle, and not because of what was on the teleprompter. Trump called for the end of sanctuary cities and told Democrats directly: "You should be ashamed of yourself, not standing up." As Republicans chanted "USA!" in the chamber, Tlaib appeared to mouth "KKK."

"They can only damage the United States of America, they can do nothing to help it. They should actually get on a boat with Trump Deranged Robert De Niro, another sick and demented person with, I believe, an extremely Low IQ, who has absolutely no idea what he is doing or saying — some of which is seriously CRIMINAL!"

He added that O'Donnell is "right now in Ireland trying to figure out how to come back into our beautiful United States," and offered a parting comparison: "The only difference between De Niro and Rosie is that she is probably somewhat smarter than him, which isn't saying much."

Vintage Trump. Every name gets a nickname. Every grievance gets escalated. And every opponent gets grouped together like a casting call for people who can't handle losing an election.

The Real Problem Isn't the Post

The media will spend the next 72 hours debating whether Trump's language was too harsh. They'll parse "send them back" for racial undertones and run panels about the dignity of the office. That's the playbook, and it's as predictable as sunrise.
