Trump Attorney Says Donald 'Didn't Make Up' Arrest Claim

 March 28, 2023

Donald Trump told all of America that he was going to be arrested on March 21.

It didn't happen.

Now, Trump's lawyers want America to know one thing:

Trump did NOT make up the reports.

There's a lot of speculation out there that Trump may have made up the reports in an attempt to fire up America and get them to rally behind him.

After all, what would better prove Trump's point that he has been the victim of unfair tactics than for America to see him be the victim of even more unfair tactics? Many people think it would have been a huge public relations boost had Trump been arrested.

But Trump's lawyers insist that's not what he was trying to do:

"No, he didn't make it up, he was reacting towards a lot of leaks coming out of the district attorney's office," attorney Joe Tacopina said. "There had been a leak that Monday there was a law enforcement meeting, including Secret Service and NYPD, that was going to go through the logistics of the arraignment. And then there was, of course, a lot of rumors regarding the arraignment being the next day. So, he just, I think he just assumed based on those leaks that that's what was going to happen."
