Former President Donald Trump spent much of a Lincoln Day Dinner in Michigan that honored him as "Man of the Decade" on Sunday attacking his adversaries, especially GOP presidential rival Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) and President Joe Biden.

Trump called Biden a “catastrophe” for Michigan and said Biden's electric car policies would devastate Michigan's auto industry.

He said DeSantis had “no personality” and his campaign is “falling like a rock.”

The Washington Examiner pointed out, however, that Michigan has had a major blue shift since Trump was elected in 2016.

“By Trump’s calculations, he needs to win Michigan again to be the president. But he’s been very disruptive here,” former Michigan GOP congressman Dave Trott said. “Trump largely is the reason why the Michigan Republican Party is dead.”

Many of the candidates Trump endorsed in Michigan lost in the midterms, and Democrats are in charge all through the state for the first time since 2011.
