Trump Appeals Partial Gag Order Against Him In Election Interference Case

If you thought that Donald Trump was going to go down easy, go ahead and guess again.

He's not planning on going down at all.

If he does, he's going to go out swinging.

Earlier this week, Judge Tanya Chutkan of the U.S. District Court for Washington, D.C. imposed a gag order against Trump, prohibiting the former president from "making statements targeting Smith, his staff, potential witnesses and court personnel."

Trump and his team immediately pushed back against the order, claiming that it both violated Trump's campaign rights and free speech rights.

The former president and his team challenged the order almost immediately, saying that the gag order "would be embracing new ground in respect to the First Amendment that would regulate campaign speech."
