Trump addresses claims that he's allowing Elon Musk to pull the strings

 December 26, 2024

Many believe that leftist forces are attempting to divide Elon Musk and President-elect Donald Trump, especially given the influence Musk has already had on policy and legislation.

The people who believe that there's a concerted effort to divide the two powerful men say that media forces are trying to paint Musk as someone treading on "alpha" Trump's territory.

According to the Washington Examiner, Trump, at the recent Turning Point USA’s AmFest in Phoenix, Arizona, shot down the idea that he's "ceding" the presidency to Musk, making it clear he's in charge.

Trump, who continues to brag about Musk and especially regarding his upcoming task of eliminating government inefficiency, made it clear that the media people attempting to portray Musk as a puppeteer are flat out wrong.

"He’s not taking the presidency,” Trump told the audience.

He added, "I like having smart people. You know, they’re on a new kick. Russia, Russia, Russia, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, all the different hoaxes. And the new one is ‘President Trump has ceded the presidency to Elon Musk.’ No, no, that’s not happening, but Elon has done an amazing job. Isn’t it nice to have smart people that we could rely on."

Trump heaped praise on Musk, noting his worth and his contributions via SpaceX and Tesla.

The president-elect injected his brand of humor into the conversation, assuring the conference audience that Musk could never become president of the United States anyway.

"So we want to thank him, but no, he’s not going to be president, that I can tell you," Trump said. "And I’m safe. You know why he can’t be? He wasn’t born in this country."

For his part, Musk has also addressed the attempts by the left to divide him and the president-elect, promising that the attempts would fail.

Trump also addressed other big initiatives at the conference regarding his upcoming term, including his bold and aggressive plans for the illegal immigration crisis at the border, to the dispute regarding the Panama Canal.

He also piled praise on his elite team of Cabinet picks and advisers, noting they are "some of the most fearless, determined and brilliant individuals ever to step forward for public office."

It's understandable why the establishment and the left are so frightened of Trump's presidency. It's gonna be a great four years in America.
