Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen caught bowing to CCP official

 July 10, 2023

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen visited China, and on Saturday, she was pictured bowing to an official from the Chinese Communist Party.

Yellen was captured walking towards Vice Premier He Lifeng and bowed multiple times and shook his hand.

Former White House staffer Bradley Blakeman responded to the picture saying, "Never, ever, ever…an American official does not bow. It looks like she’s been summoned to the principal’s office, and that’s exactly the optics the Chinese love."

The Biden administration has been predictably quiet and is attempting to bury this embarrassing story, as it is yet another instance that makes the Biden administration look weak around the world.

The White House has been especially pathetic when it comes to dealing with China, which has repeatedly crossed lines and violated American sovereignty without pushback from the Biden administration.

Yellen's poor decision is reminiscent of former President Barack Obama, who bowed to the Japanese Emperor in 2009. For some reason, Yellen forgot the cardinal rule that American diplomats and leaders bow to no one.
